Is it normal for soccer(football) boots to become difficult to use in rain?

I have the adidas predator x cleats and noticed that in rain, it's very difficult to kick the ball. Almost like the ball keeps slipping and doesn't have any traction on the boot. Also, I am flat footed so I have wide feet. What boot do you recommend? I was looking between the T90 laser III, CTR 360, Tiempo Legend, or the new adidas predator. I'm worried about the adidas because I'm afraid it will be like the previous generation and it will be very narrow.
