Why wont my Xbox 360 Controller turn on?

Ive tried everything changing the batteries, pressing the sinc button and theres no metallic stickers in near the Xbox so why wont it turn on? I think it might the problem might be that I left my controller in the sun for about 10 minutes to go get something does that mess up the sinc stickers?
