Well, for top secret they will wire you up to a polygraph and will ask you questions. Now lying about the meds can cause a result you don't want to think about if they find out. Mostly what they will look for are things which can be held against you or used as leverage. Which one thing, and I'm not joking, is someone being a closet homosexual and having a family. That is a high risk factor and that person more than likely will be denied.
