How to make a bed room look better for a 15 year old?

Okay as i am entering 10th grade, i want to make a fresh start, a new me. I want to invite my friends over to go swimming with me. my room is really lame... Its embarrassing. Its pink with tinkerbell and other fairys on it i hate it. That is why i never invite over friends and they get made at that. Also, my carpet has stains all over it from my dog (but the stains wont come out). My parents will not paint my room Or get a new carpet. I know i can take down the fairy stickers but what else can i do? I can print out pics frm online but i dont know what. I can also buy crafty supplies, but i dont know what to do
