Why is my CTR for my blog so low?

My blog Beer, Guns, and Baseball is getting some good readership, about 217 views this month alone (so about 40 views per day). However, none of these page views are converting to clicking ads. I have ads in the sidebar and right below the title of my blog posts, but still nothing (and they are text only ads since I heard they convert better, I previously had all kinds of ads but the others were getting absolutely no clicks). My CTR last month was 0.42% and this month already with 217 views I have none! What am I doing wrong?
