Organizational tips for childrens home library?

What I did with our bookshelfs is bought some of the name tags that you usually tape to a child's desk, and label them as "Reference" "Young Readers" "Young Adult" "Children" "Bible" and so forth. If you have more room you could label the Reference section into smaller sections, such as "Sewing" "Astronomy" "Gardening", etc. It would be a big project, ask the kids to help out and get it done in a weekend.
