I had recently bought a couple goldfish. They are bigger than the others. They're about 7"+... Well, since they are fat and slow my sucker fish have taken a liking to their fins. I had taken out all the plecos and only left the all the goldies in the tank. Their fins are completely frayed (not rotten) and they have in the fins as well. They are loosing their color slowly and don't move much at all. I feel terrible. Ceiling fan ground wire...?

I need to connect the green fan wire to the green ceiling wire or bare.... there is no green ceiling wire just a white and black. There is an actual hard wire that's tucked down... do I connect the green wire to it? And how, the green wire has a frayed end with actual wires, the ceiling wire is an actual single thick wire. Pair of chaco sandals in need of repair - will it be covered by warranty?

I recently tried to restore my Dell dimension C521 desktop to factory settings. After trying that, the screen said that the restore was not successful. After this happened, when I try to boot my computer, I get a message that says "A disk read error occurred, press Ctr+alt+delete to restart." I don't have a backup CD for my computer. I did a diagnostic check. My hard drive seems to be fine. I called Dell to get help, but they won't assist me, due to my warranty being expired. How can I fix this error? What I did with our bookshelfs is bought some of the name tags that you usually tape to a child's desk, and label them as "Reference" "Young Readers" "Young Adult" "Children" "Bible" and so forth. If you have more room you could label the Reference section into smaller sections, such as "Sewing" "Astronomy" "Gardening", etc. It would be a big project, ask the kids to help out and get it done in a weekend. Little rash with white heads?

i have a little rash that just looks like a line of tiny white heads on the top of my pelvic bone right where the top of my pants are. i am allergic to nickel so sometimes when i would wear belts i would get an itchy rash right in the middle where the buckle was. i recently got a belt that has nickel on the side of it right under where the rash showed up. ive moved around to see if somehow the nickel has been touching my skin and it doesnt seem like it has been. also the rash seems different this time. it doesnt itch as much as it is just a little uncomfertable. any ideas what it is? could it be from sticker bushes somehow? or being sweaty in the heat? ive had it for 2 days now

I am planning on a sewing project, I found some really useful yards of fabric in the garage. It does not have a putrid garbage smell, just a musty garage smell or basement smell. Cutting Fabric/Trimming Edges of Fabric and Selvedge for Sewing?

I'm prepping a few yards of fabric for my first pattern-based sewing project. In my instructional book, it says that I should first wash the fabric (a cotton shirting fabric) and to do so, I should trim the raw edges with pinking shears so that they don't unravel. Does this include the selvedge?? Because 1/5th inch of the selvedge looks a bit frayed. And if I have to trim the selvedge, how will I know after washing which side is the selvedge (so that I can cut the length along the selvedge) and which is not?

My computer keeps freezing & ctrl alt dlt doesnt work, help ?

Its a Toshiba laptop, about a year old. & i have windows vista. I have taken excellent care of it and it has been absolutely flawless up until a few days ago. It still has 100 GB of space available, because like I said, i am very diligent in getting rid of junk and not downloading unnecessary things. I have run disk cleanup, defragged it, & ran a virus scan. I have also used CCleaner, and CCleaners registry scan. All of these tests are showing no problems, yet my computer keeps freezing. It is not slow at all, and it does not freeze on any specific website. At random times, itll freeze and then CTR ALT DLT wont even work. what could this be?

Ok so im 13 and im turning 14 in a few months and I have to share a room with my 6 year old sister. I hate this! I wish I could have more privacy but everytime I go in the room she follows. How did my htc get water damage?

People hearing certain thoughts?

m 20 and in community college...i do nothing..it sucks but now i think im going crazy. past few weeks the idea of people hearing my thoughts has consumed my life. i feel everytime i think deeply about something private people that live in my house will make a loud sound or Cough and Clear throats to snap me out of it or something...or ill be watching a talk show (jay leno,conan) and i feel the show revolves around what im thinking..but at other times i dont feel this at all. Our nightly routine B 4 bedtime is we sing a few songs and i read him a book. he never had any problem going to sleep & staying all night bed, until abt a month ago. Now whn I finish reading him his book he does whatever he can 2 prevent him leaving him alone in bed. He'll run 2 get another book or try & play games. trying 2 get him in bed is a struggle. His body gets stiff or he'll cling 2 me with all his might. Once he does finally go 2 sleep he'll wake up crying in the middle of the night crying & come 2 our bed saying "crying" or "scared" but goes 2 sleep w/no problem once he's N our bed. One night my husband put him asleep. He said he had talk w/our son 2 see what the problem was. my husband said thy my son started pointing up @ the ceiling @ one of the corners over & over, he would not talk but just nodded his head No everytime my husband started calling out random things that were in his room. He worked in the word "man" & my son got scared & nodded yes. We put glow in the dark stickers on all his walls added more nightlights. I know he is not afraid of the dark bcz he'll walk into any other dark room, no problem. I ONLY have this stuggle only putting him dwn 4 his nap or when its time 4 bed. And what scares me even more is tht, he found a crusafix the other day & come nightime, he clings to it and says Jesus & kisses it and has to have it w/him 2 go 2 sleep. Issues with a stalker. Can I get some advice?

Not looking for advice of what to do about a stalker, but advice on what you might think. My ex left me in early January. An old thing she used to do before leaving me is call *67 so I wouldn't know it was her. She wouldn't say a word, but I just knew it was her. She likes to play games. Since she left me in January and up till 3 weeks ago I would get a random call labeled 'private'. And as soon as it started to ring, the call would drop. I sent a text message asking if it was her calling with no reply. Then in mid April I got notice that my ex was getting married to another man she has been engaged to since last year June. Yeah, I know what you are thinking, the math doesn't add up. She just left you in January, but has been engaged since the prior June? Yeah, messed up. I took it hard. Then May 30th came and up till that point maybe 3 to 4 'private' calls with hang ups before I could answer. My 30th would had been our 3 year anniversary. The next day, I'm driving home and she pulled up next to me at the light on her way into work. Later that week on Thursday I pass her at a store, but she didn't see me, at least I thought so. That night, I got a 'private call' that dropped before I could answer it. The next day I am at the DMV getting stickers for my car and she's there with her future husband getting him his license issued. She saw me, we stared briefly at each other. I thought about things for a while, then sent her an email telling her that I am hurt from what she has done but forgive her and miss her. The next day it started... Private call after private call. up till last Friday I counted in around 110 calls, but the difference was there was no hang ups. This person just sat there listening to me answer. I'd ask who is this and stuff but no answer. I'd hang up then they'd call back. It stopped for about a week, then I sent another email to my ex and it started up again. I have only given my number out to one girl since my ex left me and it was at about the time all these calls started. I asked her if she was doing this to me and she said no. Now the calls have started again but this person is saying something. not comprehensible words but like grunt noise. I'd ask if they were going to finally say something and there would be a uh-uh like as in a no. and some uh-huh as in yes. The person calling is a girl, I can tell from the tone and have also heard other things in the calls, background noise. When my ex would get a text message come in while talking on the phone with me, there would be this certain tone, and when her phone was getting low on battery I would hear another tone. Tonight, I heard the battery tone that sounded a lot like hers, and a couple days ago she called and I heard a text come through her phone. I've asked repeatedly if it was her, my ex, but got nothing in response. I don't know though and also have to think this could be the other girl I gave my number too a couple weeks ago. I know this is kind of long but if you have read this and have some insight, please let me know and thank you for the help.

I would say, the top with the blue shorts because it gives off brightness that would really compliment the top. The shorts would look great with the blue in the top. Unless you want more of a matching look, which doesn't necessarily work in all cases. I don't think the purple in the top would work with the purple shorts. That is just my opinion though. You'd look like a dress up doll. Blue looks much more appealing on different skin tones and people.

So this morning my recruiter (Navy) wanted me to come down to the officer and talk with him because his friend who works at MEPS pretty much gave him a rundown on what I have available (due to my ASVAB scores). Right now I have the IT rating but I have an option to switch into either the CTN, CTT, CTR or IS ratings. My recruiter said I am EXTREMELY lucky because all of these jobs are incredibly hard to get. I am just wondering which one would be best for me. After the Navy I want to work for the NSA, CIA, DOD (civilian), NRO, or one of the other three lettered Intel agencies doing work with satellite networking and dealing with intel coming in from satellites and making sure that it is coming in properly. I know it sounds like a boring job but its what I want to do. What rating would be best, my recruiter said that CTN's are like the spooks of the Navy. The way he described it was that CTN sailors were the ones who analyzed enemy intel by accessing their networks and made sure that our national cyber defense networks are secure. He said that they are the ones we dont see or hear but they do some of the most important jobs (he literally said "they are the SEALs of the Cryptologic community). The one thing that stood out though was that he said that they hardly go on ships and when they do its only for a few weeks then they are off. One of the reasons I chose the Navy over the Air Force was the opportunity to see the sea (I have a fascination with the ocean). I know that when a recruiter is trying to fill a slot in a certain rating he or she needs filled, they would be willing to say whatever it takes to get their potential recruit to sign the paper. Thats why I came here, I want to know if I should stick with IT, Go ahead with switching to CTN or get him to switch me to CTT or CTR? (and if you chose the last option, which rating would you chose and why would these be better than CTN or IT?)

so i was watching doctor who and my computer closed down so i started it up and the desktop was SOLID BLACK no tools , toolbars , icons nothing but the mouse moves about so i started up again and went onto safe mode with networking did a virus scan with malwarebytes and found about 7 viruses so i removed them but the problem was still there someone told me to download superantispyware and it found over 700 spyware so i deleted them so now theres NO VIRUSES on my computer but it still wont work please help by the way i have a ACER NOTEBOOK WITH WINDOWS 7 and when i press ctr+alt+delete i can get onto the task manager but cant acess run or the internet so please help and these stupid viruses have done something to my system restore it turned it of and i have no clue how to turn it back on and its did something to my internet aswell several pages keep getting re direted to antiviruses downloads and utube pages and stuff but most of them are ok please help i will absolutly love you if you do please thank you

If Im going into the navy as a ctr, can I cross rate into seals? If so would I go through mini buds?

I'm going into the navy as a ctr which is a crypto intelligence job. I originally was going to go in as a seal, but decided to go intel and then cross rate into seals. My recruiter told that when I cross rate into it that I would go through mini buds and become like a back up seal, and with time and training, would eventually become a perminante edition to a seal team. I've tried looking up information on mini buds, and have found that it's only for nrotc and that it's just a stepping stone...you still have to go through 6 months of buds training. So is my recruiter bullshiting me? How exactly would I cross rate into seals from ctr?

Ctr360 maestri ii or F50s?

I would go for Nike Total90 T90 Shoot III FG, they were made for shooting. They aren't going to improve your shot though, no boot will ever do that. They are very comfortable and have a narrow fit.

TAPCO AK Stock adapter on Vltor or Magpul MOE/CTR?

I am researching the best stock options for an AK74 and am interested in going with either Vltor or Magpul. These require adapter tubes since they were originally made for AR platforms. Researching though I found that Vltor will want $80 for the adapter and then more for the stock. Magpul does not list an adapter in their store, but one is available as they have built AK projects before to advertise their products. Regardless, I see it being in the same price range. Question is, Can I buy a TAPCO stock for $42, discard the stock and install a Vltor or Magpul? Since both stocks are sold piecemeal Vltor does advertise that it will fit other manufacturers buffer tubes(nothing from Magpul but I'd wager its about the same).

They dropped it down several hundred, but it's still an additional $400 in addition to the original 1200. I was charged by Edison Park for the initial payment, the collection agency on my report is CTR. Also I was told I would receive a letter saying it would be marked paid in full on my report. I've made one payment, another is due tomorrow, and the final payment is due in a week. Should I be concerned of any fraud they might be trying to pull or possible false information given?

MacBook Pro Overheating issues?

So, I have a brand new Macbook pro, and aside from the bottom of the laptop getting hot enough to burn through my shorts....My White Charger Cord ( White square type thing ) will get FLAMING hot within 30 min of charging. Before anyone says "get a job," I have one. I'm looking for something more. I started writing letters of encouragement to send to a rehab place in my town. They have a handwritten note, some stickers, and a few quotes. It's simple but it was something I thought would help me in that situation and I enjoyed writing and putting it all together. There's a bit more demand for them now so I was wondering if anyone had any idea on how I could make some extra money to devote to doing these. Ideally, the consequences should be taken over by the family: our son is an artist, and we went to all his school exhibits and celebrated when he achieved a significant goal. Unfortunately, not all families try to be supportive, so kids need other reinforcements. It's sad that the schools have to provide them, but that's the way it is. And there are many ADULTS who have very little self-discipline or motivation unless there's a material reward for achievement. It's the way society has become. If you don't need the rewards, fine. But there are a lot of kids who do. Sad, really.

My betta fish has lately lost his appetite and wont eat. and the last day or two he has been laying near the bottom of the tank on his side. occasionally, if i bump the desk or tap on the glass lightly, he freaks out and starts swimming around, and he never used to do this before. i looked at him closely and could see that his eyes have become inflamed and his colour has become very dull. i have charts for my kids. they have 100squares. every time they help me out, do things i ask, and follow the rules i give them a sticker. so that's the positive. when they don't follow rules and refuse to do Something i ask i take a sticker away, that would be the negative. at most i give 4 stickers a day. when they fill it they get a prize... a new bike. maybe just starting with your child try less squares and simple prizes.
