Do i have to unlock community collections on little big planet?

I joined a Community game where they gave out free items. I got only a few, not enough to be full, but when I checked my popit thingy, nothing was there, not even stickers. How do I get these items? In Settings, I checked the box that said "Collect Community Items", but still, nothing. and i even restarted my system. so when i go to "my moon" and i create, i dont have "community collections" PLZZZ HELP!!
